You can easily park a motorbike or car in one of the many secure, paved municipal parking lots or resort-managed areas along Thuy Van Street for approximately 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND, making the short, level walk across the boardwalk straight onto the wide, golden sands incredibly convenient.
As Vung Tau's primary, most popular, and active swimming beach, Bai Sau is celebrated for its expansive shoreline of fine golden-orange sand and its excellent sunrise views. Facing the open East Sea, this beach is much more energetic than Front Beach (Bai Truoc), offering consistent, rolling waves that are perfect for wave-jumping, bodyboarding, and casual windsurfing. Because it is highly popular, the local government actively manages safety here: you will find designated, buoy-marked swimming zones and active municipal lifeguards patrolling the sand during daytime hours. The sandy seabed slopes down relatively gradually, though swimmers should always pay attention to safety flags as undercurrents can occasionally become strong during the windy season. The entire length of the beach is exceptionally well-serviced, featuring a vast lineup of beachfront resorts, food stalls, and public bathing clubs where you can rent beach chairs and access clean restrooms and freshwater rinsing showers for a small fee of roughly 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND.
