Access the beach by descending stone steps or paved pathways that wind down from Ha Long Street, the scenic coastal highway wrapping around Small Mountain (Nui Nho). Situated between the larger Front Beach (Bai Truoc) and Back Beach (Bai Sau), this small, rocky cove is relatively tucked away. You can easily park your motorbike or car in the designated roadside spaces along Ha Long Street or in the secure lots managed by the local boutique hotels and cliffside cafes overlooking the bay for roughly 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND. The walk down to the water is steep but short, leading directly onto the cozy shoreline.
Often considered Vung Tau's most peaceful and romantic beach, Bai Dua (historically named for the wild pineapples that once blanketed the surrounding cliffs) is a small, quiet, crescent-shaped cove. Because it is cradled and shielded by the rocky cliffs of Small Mountain, the water here is exceptionally calm, flat, and protected from the strong coastal winds and heavy surf that frequently impact Back Beach. The shoreline is a scenic mix of fine sand and rugged, mossy rock formations, creating a tranquil, natural atmosphere that is perfect for wading, sunbathing, and watching the sunset. Swimmers should be mindful of the submerged rocks close to the shore and take care when stepping into the water. Because of its intimate scale, there are no formal municipal lifeguards or public safety buoy lines, but the area is highly clean and well-sheltered. Several quiet local guesthouses, cafes, and restaurants overlooking the bay offer basic amenities, including freshwater rinsing showers and restrooms for a small fee of about 10,000 VND.
