You must first travel to Bai Kinh (on the mainland along the DT702 coastal highway) and take a short 10-minute boat ride over to Binh Hung Island.
Often described as the "jewel" of Binh Hung Island, Bai Cay Me is a small, relatively untouched cove boasting some of the clearest turquoise waters in Vietnam. Because of the pristine white granitic sand and clean, wave-sheltered environment, the water here is so transparent that you can easily see your own shadow on the sandy bottom and spot small fish swimming around your feet even from a distance. Because of its high clarity and gentle depths, the waters just off the beach are highly popular for independent snorkeling, banana boat rides, and jet-skiing. Specialized local tours also offer beginner-friendly scuba diving experiences here. Cradled by towering rocky headlands, the water at Bai Cay Me remains incredibly flat, calm, and wave-free most of the year. The shallow sandy shelf extends far out, making it an exceptionally safe and relaxing spot for floating, wading, and wading.
