mportant Military Restriction: Bai Sa Huynh is located on the Cam Ranh Peninsula, which is a highly sensitive military defense zone. Due to national security regulations, all foreign tourists and non-Vietnamese passport holders are strictly prohibited from visiting this beach. For Vietnamese citizens, the beach cannot be reached by public roads. It is physically accessed by water from nearby islands like Binh Ba or adjacent harbors. Travelers must hire a private wooden boat (approx. 100,000 VND per person or 1,000,000 VND to 1,200,000 VND for a private charter) or a high-speed canoe from the local piers. The boat trip takes between 5 to 15 minutes, allowing you to step directly off the vessel's bow onto the shoreline.
Because of its unique location within a restricted military area, Bai Sa Huynh is one of the most untouched, pristine, and uncrowded beaches in Vietnam. Framed on both sides by spectacular, naturally weathered ancient rock formations (co thach), this crescent-shaped haven features clean, powdery white sand and incredibly transparent, emerald-green water. The seabed slopes very gently and is free of dead coral or sea urchins near the shore, making it highly comfortable for wading and swimming. The bay's natural shelter keeps waves exceptionally calm and flat. Just a short distance from the shoreline lies a vibrant, multi-colored coral reef, making it a fantastic destination for shallow snorkeling. Swimmers should note that because of its remote, military-adjacent nature, there are absolutely no lifeguards, safety buoy lines, or public facilities (such as rinsing showers or restrooms) on the beach. You must bring all your own supplies and plan to use rinsing facilities back at your main island or mainland base.
