It can be reached on foot by walking along the highly scenic, elevated wooden and stone cliffside pathway that winds around the mountain, beautifully connecting Cat Co 1, Cat Co 2, and Cat Co 3. Alternatively, you can take a quick 5-to-10-minute electric buggy or shuttle ride from the main town market for approximately 5,000 VND to 10,000 VND per person. If driving your own motorbike, parking is available at the adjacent lot for roughly 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND. While the prominent Flamingo Premium Cat Ba Beach Resort is built directly behind the cove, the right half of the sandy beach remains fully open and free for public walk-on access.

Because it is deeply sheltered by these dramatic karst peaks, the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin are exceptionally calm, flat, and clear here-creating a serene, natural swimming pool environment that is highly safe for floating, wading, and relaxing. Swimmers should note that the sandy shoreline is quite narrow and can completely disappear under the water during high tides.
