Important Military Restriction: Under Vietnamese law, Binh Ba is designated as a sensitive military defense zone; consequently, foreign tourists and non-Vietnamese passport holders are strictly prohibited from visiting the island. For Vietnamese citizens, the beach is physically accessed by first taking a 30-to-60-minute wooden ferry (about 25,000 VND to 40,000 VND) or a 20-minute speedboat (around 100,000 VND) from Ba Ngoi Port in Cam Ranh to Binh Ba Island's main pier. Once on the island, you can easily reach Bai Chuong by renting a motorbike or taking an island electric cart. A well-paved road leads directly to the beach clearing on the eastern shore. From the parking area-where you can leave a scooter for about 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND-it is a flat, effortless walk of just a few meters straight onto the shoreline.
Situated on the eastern coast of Binh Ba Island, this incredibly scenic and wild beach is the island's premier location for viewing spectacular sunrises over the ocean. Unlike the smooth sandy stretches elsewhere, Bai Chuong features a highly unique terrain composed of powdery white sand mixed with countless colorful seashells, smooth sea-worn stones, and fragments of bleached white coral washed up by the waves. The sea is exceptionally clean, clear, and turquoise, though the water can experience brisk winds and moderate, rolling "chuong" waves (hence its name), making it more suited for adventurous wading, shell hunting, and shallow snorkeling than deep, relaxed swimming. There are no active lifeguards, protective safety lines, or formal public amenities directly on the sand. However, the beach is bordered by wild purple beach morning glories, and nearby rustic local stalls offer fresh seafood (including the island's famous lobster) and basic rinsing facilities for a small fee of roughly 10,000 VND.
