Walk down a very wide, flat, and gentle sandy slope that leads directly from the main coastal road or from the parking areas of the local resorts and seafood restaurants (such as the TTC Resort area). If you are visiting as a day-tripper, you can easily park a motorbike in one of the guarded, paved lots near the beachfront stalls for around 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND. The walk onto the sand is incredibly short, level, and unobstructed, as the massive sand dunes that once blocked the coast have been completely flattened for easy access.
This stunning, 6-kilometer-long stretch of powdery white sand is famous for its exceptionally shallow and calm turquoise waters, making it one of the absolute safest and most relaxing swimming spots in Vietnam, especially for families and timid swimmers. The seabed slopes down so gradually that you can wade out a hundred meters from the shore and still only be waist-deep in the warm, clean water. Highly sheltered from rough open-ocean waves during the dry season from January to September, the bay is incredibly peaceful, though swimmers should still use caution as active municipal lifeguards are generally only stationed in front of the private resort boundaries. Basic freshwater rinsing showers and toilets can be accessed at the local beachfront restaurants or resort day-pass areas for a small fee of roughly 10,000 VND.
