Vehicles park in a large, flat, paved asphalt parking lot situated right at the entrance of the scenic site. From the parking zone, visitors pass through the main gate and walk along a famous, well-built concrete pedestrian path equipped with safety railings that winds down the steep hillside. To get all the way down to the water line, you will navigate a final series of natural stone steps and slopes that lead down through a narrow opening in the cliffs directly onto the rocky shoreline.
Eo Gio-whose name translates to "Windy Pass"-is a spectacular and rugged coastal strait flanked by two massive, towering rock cliffs that curve together to form a saddle shape. Instead of a soft sandy beach, the shore here is composed of a narrow, wild stretch of natural pebbles, smooth water-worn boulders, and jagged stone shelves. Because it is highly open to the ocean and channels strong coastal drafts, the deep turquoise water crashes energetically against the rocks, creating impressive displays of white surf and filling the canyon with the booming sound of waves. The site is immensely popular for its dramatic panoramic photography, rugged geological formations, and coastal viewing along the cliffside boardwalk rather than traditional swimming or wading.
