Enter the beach by walking across a beautifully landscaped, wide municipal green space known as Front Beach Park (Cong vien Bai Truoc), which runs directly parallel to Quang Trung Street in the heart of Vung Tau. The park has completely flat, paved walkways, and wide stone steps that transition directly onto the sandy shoreline. Motorbike and car parking is highly convenient, with multiple designated paved public parking bays located directly along Quang Trung Street and near the park grounds.
Forming a picturesque, crescent-shaped bay nestled between Big Mountain (Nui Lon) and Small Mountain (Nui Nho), Bai Truoc serves as the scenic façade of Vung Tau city. Because of its west-facing orientation, this beach is globally celebrated as the premier spot in the city to witness spectacular, unobstructed ocean sunsets. For swimmers, the bay is highly sheltered, offering exceptionally calm, flat, and gentle waters with very low wave action. However, because Bai Truoc is heavily utilized as an active working harbor for local fishing boats, speedboats, and shipping lane traffic, the water clarity and sand quality are generally less pristine than at the more swimming-focused Back Beach (Bai Sau). While many locals enjoy refreshing dips in the early morning or late afternoon, most travelers prefer the beach for sunset strolls, jogging, and relaxation. Excellent public restrooms and freshwater rinsing showers are available in the adjacent park, and the shoreline is lined with a vibrant selection of upscale cafes, restaurants, and hotels.

Showers, and lots of places to eat. Easy parking and taxi/grab drop off points. A great place for a calm swim when its windy on Back Beach.
