Park by the Bluff Pub car park or the large gravel car park behind (Hayle Beach Parking). Walk towards the sea and chalets and there is a long slipway/footpath leading to the beach (covered by trees). This is a good spot to swim from, don't swim too far to the left (near the estuary).

Description

Hayle is a big beach with a large tidal range. This spot is good for a high tide swim when it's flat. Avoid mid tide as the current is to strong, low tide it's just a beach. Stay about 50m away from the cliffs/rocks on the right/north and don't drift too close to the deeper water in the estuary. This section of the beach has the lifeguard swim area often at high tide.
