Reach the beach by following the scenic coastal road (DT328/DT994) that runs through the Xuyen Moc district. Unlike the urbanized beaches of Vung Tau city, Ho Coc is more secluded, and access is primarily managed through the entrances of the various beachfront resorts, glamping sites, and public parking areas along the road. Most public-access entry points feature paved parking lots for motorbikes and cars, charging a standard fee of approximately 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND. From these parking areas, you walk a short distance through sandy paths, often shaded by casuarina (pine) trees, leading directly onto the open shoreline.
Often described as a "hidden gem" compared to the busier Vung Tau city beaches, Ho Coc is a long, pristine stretch of cream-white sand, backed by lush, protective casuarina forests. The beach is famous for its wild, natural appearance and features scattered, beautifully weathered granite rock formations that jut out into the shallow water, creating private little nooks and highly scenic photo opportunities. The water is generally clear and turquoise, with a wide, gentle sandy slope that makes it inviting for wading and swimming. Swimmers should note that because it faces the open sea, the surf can be active; while excellent for bodyboarding and wave play, it is generally rougher than sheltered bays. While there are no formal municipal lifeguards patrolling the non-resort stretches, the beach is well-loved for its quiet, serene atmosphere, especially on weekdays. Beachfront amenities-including freshwater rinsing showers, sun loungers, and seafood shacks-are readily available through the various resorts, camping grounds, and local eateries lining the shore for a small, reasonable fee.
