Paved motorbike and car parking areas are widely available at the beachfront resorts and adjacent local diners for approximately 10,000 VND to 20,000 VND, offering a short, flat walk over the sandbanks straight to the water.
This peaceful and expansive 17-kilometer stretch of smooth golden sand is highly favored for its rustic charm and tranquil coastal scenery, sitting in the shadow of the rolling Red Sand Dunes. The beach is split into two primary areas, Hon Rom 1 and Hon Rom 2, both characterized by relatively calm waves and a gentle, sandy seabed that lacks dangerous submerged rocks, making it exceptionally safe for swimming. Swimmers will find the clearest, warmest, and most inviting waters during the dry season from December to April, though caution should still be exercised as active public lifeguard patrols are not consistently present on the non-resort public sections. The beach is lined with a variety of lively local seafood stalls and beachfront guesthouses, which provide convenient access to basic freshwater rinsing showers and changing rooms for a small fee of roughly 10,000 VND.
