There are two main ways to reach this secluded beach situated on the Phuong Mai Peninsula. The most popular method is taking a 20-minute tourist canoe or speedboat from Nhon Ly village, which pulls directly onto a long wooden pier built over the sand, allowing a flat step-off onto the beach. Alternatively, you can drive overland along a scenic mountain road to a large, flat, paved parking lot on the hilltop. From there, public transit shuttles transport visitors down a steep, winding asphalt road with sharp slopes directly to the coastal flat, where you take a short, flat walk across a paved promenade straight onto the sand.
Ky Co Beach is widely celebrated for its striking, semi-circular strip of soft, golden-white sand framed by towering, jagged mountain cliffs on three sides. The sea here is remarkably clear, displaying a brilliant gradient of turquoise and deep blue that meets a shallow, gradually sloping underwater shelf. Because the large crescent bay is partially sheltered by massive rocky islets rising from the sea, the water near the shore is exceptionally calm during the summer months, forming clean, natural wading pools among the boulders where visitors can safely swim and relax.
