Access

Difficult to access as the busy A1 runs next to the coastline here. Park off the A1 and follow the John Muir Link Path. Park on the roadside near Dunglass Burn and follow the John Muir Link Path onto the beach and along the shoreline to the pool.

Description

Tidal Sea Rock Pool cut into the rocks by Lady Helen Hall in the 18th century. Low tide only as it's covered by the tide at mid-high.

    Fascinating piece of history. Only visible and accessible close to low tide across greasy boulders.

    Hard to find and involves a lot of scrambling over rocks and slippy seaweed
    Worth it – had a lovely evening swim at low tide
