Because the location is completely disconnected from the mainland road network, direct vehicular access is impossible. Visitors drive to the southern An Thoi harbor and park in flat, paved parking lots, where they board either a shared tourist speedboat or a private charter vessel. The boat cruises directly to the island and docks flatly against a rustic wooden pier or lets passengers step out right into the shallow shoreline water. This allows for a completely flat transition onto the sand with zero cliffs, hills, or stone steps to climb.
Hon May Rut is a postcard-perfect tropical islet celebrated for possessing some of the clearest and most brilliantly colored waters in the entire region. The beach features a striking, clean crescent of soft white sand beautifully framed by dense coconut palm groves and rocky granite outcrops. For swimmers, this island bay offers an absolutely flawless environment; the shimmering turquoise sea is completely sheltered, keeping the water exceptionally calm, flat, and wave-free.
