Access

Ness Car Park off Ness Drive has lots of spaces. You have to go via The Smugglers Tunnel to get to this beach. Head up to the beach end of the car park and look for the signs. A tunnel with quite a lot of steps to reach the beach.

Description

A long (500m) sand and pebble beach with swimming at all tides. Faces SE so great on westerly winds but not so good on SE winds. Good for some longer swims next to the shore. If you like tunnels to get to your swimming locations check out Tunnel Beaches in Ilfracombe (open in summer).
