Access

From the car park walk down the path next to the public toilets and towards the sea. it's a sandy/rock path for 250m to the RNLI Lifeguard hut at the top of the beach and then down some steps to the beach. To avoid the steps there is a sandy slope the other side of the Lifeguard Hut, but this is definitely not a disabled access slope.

Description

Porthcurno Beach is regularly rated as one of the top beaches in the UK, with white sands and renown for it's clear water. Patrolled by RNLI Lifeguards in summer and next to The Minack Theatre. It has a large council car park with toilets and a café nearby. The car park can get busy/full in the summer after 11am. At high tide the beach shelves off steeply (shore dump waves) and at low tide it's possible to walk to Pedn Vounder Beach to the east.

    Swam from Porth Chapel to Porthcurno and it was amazing! Need the right conditions, and had my friend on is SUP as safety cover.
