Motorbikes and cars can park easily in large, flat, unpaved or paved parking clearings managed by the beachfront restaurants and water sports centers. From these parking areas, accessing the shore requires a completely flat, effortless walk of just a few meters over soft sand, making it highly accessible and completely free of cliffs or steep stairs.
There is a paid entrance and a free entrance to the beach.
Bai Sao is widely celebrated as one of the most famous and breathtakingly beautiful beaches on Phu Quoc Island. Spanning a 7-kilometer crescent along the southeastern coast, it is renowned for its strikingly powdery, pure white sand that feels like flour underfoot-a distinct contrast to the golden sand found on the island's west coast. The beach is beautifully accented by leaning coconut palms, some of which feature iconic swings hanging over the water. Tucked away from strong ocean currents, the brilliant turquoise sea here is remarkably calm, shallow, and wave-free, with a very gentle underwater shelf that allows visitors to wade out quite far. Historically famous for the large numbers of red starfish that gather in its shallow waters during certain seasons (giving it the name "Starfish Beach"), it blends vibrant tropical beauty with plenty of amenities like beachfront dining, jet ski rentals, and lounging areas.
